A court has prohibited the construction of a third runway at Heathrow airport. According to the judges, the British government had not taken the Paris Climate Protection Agreement into account. Thus the plaintiffs’ – including Greenpeace – opinion was confirmed . The ruling shows that ESG is no longer abstract, but very tangible. Anyone who ignores ESG will have problems. One more reason why companies should address ESG issues. On the one hand, companies must integrate ESG into their strategy. On the other hand, they need to communicate their own ESG activities more effectively.
